In May 2011, there is a new route Chongqing – Zhuhai will be launched by China Southern Airline. Travellers who want to fly between Chongqing and Zhuhai can get this direct flight in about two hours.

This daily service will be operated using Boeing 737-700 or 800 aircraft with flight numbers CZ3737 and CZ3738. Flights will leave Zhuhai at 17:50, and land in Chongqing at 19:50. The return flight will depart from Chongqing at 20:50 and arrive in Zhuhai at 22:40.

Zhuhai, which is known as Hundred Islands City, won the Dubai International Award for Best Practices to Improve the Living Environment in 1998. The annual growth rate in passenger numbers passing through Zhuhai Airport is currently 20%.
