According to the report from weather bureau, the drought may last for a period. The southwest parts of China always experience a shortage of the rain since 2000. And under the global warming climate background, this situation become more serious recent years.
So under the condition of the drought in the southwest part, the water level of Yangtze River is low, and the head water may be dry to cause a narrow and shallow channel. It predicts that this situation may take a favorable turn until the beginning of the April.
