The waterline of Yangtze River in Chongqing Channel has been falling consistently according to the observation record from the Chongqing Marine Safety Administration, on March 9, 2010. A 56-day dredging project started on March 5 in the Zhu Erzi sector, Chongqing Channel. Navigation will be restricted daily from 10:00 to 14:00 during the maintenance period.
