On April 23, governments from Chongqing and Hubei attended the conference about tourism development in Yangtze River and Three Gorges district. After discussion on the tourism situation at present time, both parties agreed to construct the golden tourism district by joining hands with each other.
They plan to invest capital on cruise liners. Yichang transportation groups plan to invest 150 million to introduce about ten cruise liners with new styles. Chongqing city will introduce 18 5-star luxury cruise liners.
This project is supported by national tourism administration. They will build up a group to assist and coordinate the project.
