For group under 5pax who wanna visit Tibet, we are sorry to inform you that we could not arrange the Tibet tour for you this time. According to the new policy (issued May 9, 2012), all foreign tourists who wanna visit Tibet should be group at least 5 pax with the same nationality, otherwise, the application for Tibet Travel Permit will not be accepted.

Day 1

Arrival Xining
Arrive in Xining, capital city of Qinghai Province, your local guide will meet you at the airport then transfer you to the hotel for check-in.

As the capital city of Qinghai Province, Xining is the provincial center of politics, economy, culture, education, technology, transportation and commerce. This city lies in the eastern part of Qinghai-Tibet plateau, is one of the major gateways to the Tibetan Plateau.
 

Day 2

Xining    Qinghai Lake    Xining
After breakfast, you will start your tour to Qinghai Lake, the largest saline lake in China. After 2.5 hours driving, you will reach this largest inland and salty lake of China. During the way, you can have a short stop at the Sun & Moon Mountain site. In the late afternoon, be transferred back to Xining.

Qinghai LakeAs the largest saline lake in China, Qinghai Lake, is considered as “green lake" or "fairyland" by local folks because of the marvelous and natural beautiful reflected on it. Qinghai Lake is an important place in history which has been the traditional meeting place between Mongolian and Tibetan societies. Despite its salinity, Qinghai Lake has an abundance of fish.

The lake has a number of attractions that draw travelers in this region in. Ornithologists, campers, hikers, botanists, swimmers, sailors, fishermen, loners and nomads all find areas of interest around the lake. The beauty here lies in its salty vastness and the remote peace that it instills. The colours that can be found around the lake are of purity and contrasts, from the deep yellows of oil seed rape against the cold blues of the lake to the dark greens of distant mountains against the fluffy white of bilious clouds.

Tips: The average temperature in Qinghai Lake area is 3-5

1.Airport/railway station welcome and private transfers between airports/railway stations, hotels and sightseeing spots. Separate arrivals and departures will incur extra charges.
2.Domestic airfare of economic class or train ticket(s) as mentioned in the itinerary. Airport construction fee and fuel surcharge are included.
3.Accommodation (if include Yangtze cruiser) based on two adults sharing one standard twin-bed room (cabin); solo travelers or those who want to occupy one twin-bed room/cabin of their own are required to pay additional charge of single supplement rate (S.SUPP in above price table). A single room (cabin) is subject to availability based on prior request at an additional cost; if the recommended hotel is not available, it will be substituted by a similar one.
4.Driver and English-speaking guide service on normal sightseeing activities noted in the itinerary.
5.All entrance fees to scenic spots as shown in the itinerary. The final arrangement will be determined by local tour guides based on the local circumstances which are beyond the control of TopChinaTravel. TCT will adhere to the original itinerary as accurately as possible.
6. Meals as specified in the itinerary.
7.Travel insurance.
8.Government taxes.
9.Tibet Permit fees and all necessary governmental fees during the tour.
 
Price excludes:
1.Round way International airfare or train tickets, unless otherwise noted.
2.Visa fee, passport application or renewal fee.
3. Any Meals are not specified in the itinerary.
4.Tips for guides, escort, drives, bellman, etc.
5.Personal expenses such as excess luggage fees, laundry, postage, communications and beverages.
6.Optional meals and shows mentioned in the itinerary, which will be added up if the clients desire to take the activities.
7.Any extra cost caused by changes of natural disasters, fires, weather, governmental and local authority orders, political change, strikes, war, riots, quarantine, custom regulations, damages or injury caused by accident beyond the control of TopChinaTravel and that has incurred due to the tourist action violating the laws.
